The Evolution of The Networking Follow Up

This is a musing, something that I think I’ve been musing on for a while now subconsciously.
It really came to the fore at the recent live streaming of Thinking Digital that I attended at Barnsley DMC, an event that was exceptional and fantastic for digital Barnsley, but also an event that consolidated, for me, Twitter’s role in local networking, follow ups and ‘ice breaking’.

Signs Of A Healthy Twitter Account

If you’re like me you use Twitter daily; it’s a nice place to catch up with people and stay up to date with your choice of interests etc.
But, of course there’s the whole business side to Twitter too, which I intend on writing about separately.
As Twitter has become more prominent in people’s social networking lives, it’s sometimes hard to find decent people to follow / interact with without clogging your home Twitter feed up with “noise” from people that don’t give much value or engagement.

HootSuite iPhone App Review

Hey hey!
I’ve just (well, last night) downloaded the HootSuite iPhone App to play around with so I thought I’d hit you guys with a bit of a HootSuite iPhone app review.
First up, I’ll give you a bit of a background on HootSuite itself. Hootsuite is a web based aggregation service which allows you to manage all your social networks from one easy to use and great looking web interface. It does look great and has some nice features, including:

It seems that no matter where you look online you're bombarded with all sorts of social networking this and social networking that.
It is quite obviously a great way to share information quickly and eaily with your peers, clients, friends and contacts and it seems the latest entry into this world (or should I say, latest entry to be enjoying free PR all over the radio and TV) is Twitter (www.twitter.com). Whilst us creative lot over here have stayed away from a company Facebook we have signed The Design Loft up to Twitter.
