Aug 11th
Author’s note: I started writing this last year but never got the time to publish it out. The steps herein are still valid but Joe Audette has added some cracking new features to mojoPortal since then, so I recommend you head over to the mojoPortal blog to stay up to date.

mojoPortal Mobile Skins Become Much More Functional
Jul 12th
Joe Audette over at mojoPortal has just released a brand new mojoPortal add on for creating mojoPortal Mobile Skins called “Mobile Kit Pro“.
The release comes in tandem with mojoPortal release 2.3.6.7 and with the addition of mojoPortal mobile skinning as a “native” feature, the (buzz word warning) responsive nature of mojoPortal’s design takes an even greater leap.
For anyone used to working with mojoPortal I’d highly recommend heading over and checking the new features out and as ever, Joe and the community welcomes feedback on the mojoPortal Mobile Kit Pro product.

Actually, most of this post is me ranting about being ill, but one short paragraph applies to the guys mentioned above:
Here’s the real kicker – having a few days off actually feels like a waste of time More >
LDA – On Page Content As A Secret SEO Weapon?
Sep 15th
I’ve been reading through a fantastic blog post over at SEOmoz looking at the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) correlation with SEO, in particular on page SEO work.
It’s a hefty post that looks at how Google speculatively interprets words and their meaning based on the context in which they are used.
I’ve always been a believer in writing for your audience; believing that anyone who writes their web pages in this way will will achieve long term search engine success. If it is true that Google not only looks at the words you use (keywords) but also the context in which More >
