FaceTime For Mac Review – Tentative First Thoughts
Oct 21st
Hey guys
Apple just announced FaceTime beta for Mac is available, and I’ve had a play around with it for half an hour so thought I’d share a quick little review.
I’ve used myself as a guinea pig for this first FaceTime for Mac review but I got a good feel for it.
My Little FaceTime For Mac ReviewThe interface is really nice; clean, simple and elegant, and the calling from my Mac to iPhone worked beautifully. I had some trouble connecting when I tried to place a call from my iPhone to the Mac though, it wouldn’t connect – wonder if More >
Bootstrapping Blues – Threddie
Oct 20th
Just a lil one…. Had a chat with Pedro Gil Cadeias yesterday on Twitter about the woes facing startups when trying to manage a sideline project in tandem with a full time job.
Worth a quick read.
CMS or See A Mess?
Oct 19th
Here’s one for all you web designers out there; how many of your clients actually use their CMS system on a daily, weekly or monthly basis?
We have an array of different types of clients with a shiny new web design; Barnsley shops and retail outlets, accountants, manufacturing companies, tattoo removal companies and so on. One thing these guys all have in common is this:
We “need” a website that we can update ourselves
That’s fair enough, no one wants to be at the mercy of a busy web design company when all they want to do is add a new image. After all, More >
It’s Been A Little Quiet…
Oct 8th
Hi guys
Just a quick post to apologise about how quiet it’s been around here for the last couple of weeks.
We’ve been busy with a few big projects and then we had a Mac die on us so had to try and work around that, argh! Plus, in web design, Barnsley seems to never sleep!
Anyway, we’ll be back to it shortly so keep checking back :0)
Love y’all.
“Your Not Board Are You?” – Dear Facebook, Can I Have My Language Back Please?
Sep 15th
Is Facebook partly responsible for a generation of SMS speak and poor use of the language?
You use Facebook right? So do I; so does pretty much everyone I know.
It’s great, a little bit addictive at times, but great nonetheless. It means we can keep up to date with people we’ve not seen for years, with family members living at the other side of the planet (hello Uncle Andrew, remember I want a free holiday) and also share many of our recommendations and media preferences through Facebook’s pages and fan groups.
Everyone knows how popular the social networking scene has become but More >
Success Without Suits?
Sep 13th
I’ve just added a small guest article over at www.johnpc.co.uk entitled “Success Without Suits?” which is a bit of a musing on how professionalism is often measured, on first impression by the presence (or lack) of a suit, shirt and tie.
It’s something that I’ve been thinking about for a while and, whilst it’s not a hefty article, it does provoke some thought.
Take a look, you might like it.
