Everyone loves a good read, don’t they?!
As web geeks we have to keep our skills up to date and keep on top of what’s going on in the web world. There are daily changes in best practice when it comes to things like SEO, and with Google keeping us on our toes with their winter 2009 changes, we really do need to keep our finger on the pulse. This is quite a new blog, as of time of writing; like any other decent blogger I’m looking at how I can make this blog a quality resource for people to keep coming back to.
Of course, there are thousands (millions?!) of blogs out there, and choosing the ones you regularly read comes from looking at a number of factors:
- Does the blog contain information that interests you?
- Does the blog get updated regularly?
- Is it a collaborative style of writing or does it employ more forced opinions and discourage comments?
- Does it look good?(!)

I was doing my usual reading up this weekend and came across a fantastic post on Smashing Magazine’s blog by Sergey Chikuyonik regarding “Zen Coding”.
To quote:

Joe Audette over at mojoPortal has just posted a great little YouTube video from Vitaliy Akudovich and Olga Kulahina introducing MojoPortal to people and looking at getting started with the system.
